Why Choose Our Team
What is Occupational Therapy?
Despite the name, Occupational Therapists don't necessarily find you a job; however, part of our role might be helping you build skills so that obtaining a job becomes more accessible. Occupational Therapists (sometimes referred to as OT's) work across various practice areas which often means our role is attuned to a specific area. Simply Engage Occupational Therapy operates in the community space providing support to individuals in their home, work and community environments. In a nutshell, our role is to support you to engage in daily activities (occupations) you need or want to do. As a result of an injury, ageing, a disability, or an illness, you might not be able to perform an occupation the way you used to or to the best of your ability. This is where an Occupational Therapist can help! We can prescribe equipment, suggest modifications to your home, support you with increasing your skills through therapy and help you obtain suitable housing. As a result of this support, you will have the opportunity to experience greater independence and therefore live a more fulfilled life.
